Other Publications

Publications other than films do not have to be labelled before release to the public, but suppliers are responsible for ensuring that all material is supplied to the public appropriately.

You can submit non-film publications directly to the Office for classification, as can members of the public, under section 13(1)(c) of the Act. You need to get the approval of the Chief Censor first.

Your submission should include:

  • A copy of the publication you want to be classified;
  • A completed application form (PDF v7.0, 82kb) and the correct fee
  • A covering letter outlining your interest in getting the publication classified (optional).
